| Abstract: | É necessário destacar o caráter comparativo dos benefícios e custos econômicos, tanto ambientais quanto sociais, das diversas opções de projetos de Mecanismo de Desenvolvimento Limpo (MDL). Muitos estudos setoriais foram realizados, analisando separadamente cada uma dessas opções, e a bibliografia é extensa. No entanto, o MDL tenta introduzir componentes de mercado na busca de soluções mais eficientes e poucos trabalhos analisaram de forma comparativa as diferentes possibilidades com as quais os investidores se depararão. O que falta é dar um passo adiante e comparar os retornos esperados de cada projeto, evitando ficar restrito apenas aos aspectos "tradicionais" - quantidade de emissões evitadas e necessidade de financiamento - e considerando também sua capacidade de inclusão social. |
| Abstract: | It is necessary to highlight the comparative character of the benefits and economic costs, both environmental as social of the various options of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects. Many sector studies have been made, separately analyzing each of these options and the bibliography is extensive. However the CDM tries to introduce market components in the search of more efficient solutions and few works have analyzed in a comparative manner the different possibilities that the investors will confront with. What lacks is to take a step forward and compare the returns expected from each project, avoiding to be restricted only by “traditional” aspects – amount of avoided emissions and necessity of financing – also considering its capacity of social inclusion. |
