Conflitos por uso e definição de territórios em populações tradicionais caiçaras

Abstract

The work has as problematic field the relation identity and territory, represented by the traditional populations caiçaras and its territory in the scope of an environmental discussion. Thus, the intended analysis starts from a contextualization by the dynamics of social space. It is intended to go beyond the naturalist view, breaking the natural determinism, which sets aside the human apprehension of space and its social relations. The focus of the analysis is based on the conflict established between traditional populations of caiçaras and the State, by use and definition of the territory, with the implementation of protected natural areas.
