O cuidado da terapia ocupacional durante a internação de gestante de alto risco

Abstract

The care of Occupational Therapy during the hospitalization of women in high risk pregnancy, has as a characteristic of their performance in the hospital context interventions directed to the day-to-day. The objective of Occupational Therapy should be geared towards promoting health, quality of life, thinking about the integrality and overallity of the hospitalized individual. The work was developed through a qualitative and quantitative approach, and the analytical descriptive method the research scenario was the School Maternity of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the duration of the field research was two months. Because it was a convenience sample, a total of twenty pregnant women were obtained. It was identified that the occupational therapist could contribute to the hospitalization of high-risk pregnant women, focusing on women and their daily activities. Also through this research was also observed the need for more publications of occupational therapists in this area.
