Considerações sobre as repercussões emocionais da violência contra a mulher na assistência perinatal: uma revisão integrativa da literatura

Abstract

The present study sought to understand the possible emotional repercussions of violence against women in perinatal care. To this end, an integrative review of the literature was carried out containing texts dated from the last two years so that it was possible to contribute to scientific advancement on the aforementioned theme and, with this, promote subsidies for the improvement of care to the pregnancy-puerperal cycle with the dissipation of violence and promotion of adequate assistance to the mother and newborn. The results indicate that even today, practices considered violence are still present in the daily lives of health institutions, having a direct impact on women's mental health. As ways of coping, the studies analyzed in the review suggest reforms in the training of health professionals that bring them closer to the agenda of humanization of labor and birth, continuing education, supervisory measures, improvements in the working conditions of employees, as well as information to women about of their sexual and reproductive rights.
