"Utilização de canções em sessões de musicoterapia na área materno-infantil"

Abstract

This monograph analyzes the eight most requested songs in forty sessions of music therapy with mothers and/or relatives of babies hospitalized in the Neonatology Unit carried out at the Maternity-School of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (ME-UFRJ) in the period from August 22 to December 27, 2006, giving greater emphasis to the most requested. The analysis is carried out through Luis Tatit's musical semiotics, the observation of harmonies and of the semantic field of the lyric of the songs. The musical material is correlated with the experience of mothers during the music therapy session. It concludes by the importance of this type of analysis both in helping Music Therapists and professionals in the Maternal-Child Area.
