Novos olhares sobre o centro: uma leitura crítica dos projetos municipais sobre a área central do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The paper aims to perform a critical reading on the urban projects elaborated by the city of Rio de Janeiro for its central area from the 1990s. The discourse of the new paradigm of urban planning guided by the creation of urban policies based on the entrepreneurship and the creation of spaces of memory of the city, identifying the context of its emergence and the actors responsible for its diffusion in planetary scale.
