Urinary Incontinence refers to the uncontrolled release of urine. This problem can arise in men and women, but it is more common in women, and is generally related to problems with the bladder or pelvic muscles, being more frequent during pregnancy, childbirth or after menopause, affecting the quality of life of many women in the postpartum and menopause. It is characterized by the involuntary loss of urine during activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure. In other situations, treatment for SUI is done with medication or surgery and can also be considered excellent alternatives, especially in the case of urgency urinary incontinence, thus contributing to a significant improvement in the quality of life of women affected by this condition. Through studies in scientific articles, the aim of this work was to identify the use of FRAXX in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence in women, approaching a literature review between 2005 and 2024, analyzing prevalence, risk factors, pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment. The prevalence of SUI can vary between 10% and 40%, influenced by age, parity, BMI and menopause. The diagnosis involves the patient's clinical history, physical examinations and specific tests. Treatments include exercise, behavioral, pharmacological and surgical therapies. SUI is very common and negatively affects women. Treatment and education are essential to improving patients’ quality of life.
