Abstract

The proposal seeks to bring together theory and practice of Information Science through the sharing of classes, lectures, short courses and workshops promoted by participants and open to researchers and professionals in training in the area, with live transmission over the Internet. Developing research has been relevant and essential for the growth of any and all scientific fields. It is no different for the field of Information Science, but we need to develop research combining theory and practice, and this is possible with the action research methodology, which provides interventionist solutions and models to solve problems. Research must be developed with a clearly defined purpose, as it generates reliable data that can be used to solve collective or social problems, inside and outside organizations. This is our proposal and this is our desire: to bring together theory and practice that brings us ever closer to users of scientific and technological information in society, through participatory action that integrates experiences and knowledge in the scientific field.
