Comunicações unificadas: implantação de um sistema de comunicação unificada

Abstract

Unified Communications is the convergence of various types of communication – phone, instant messaging, email, video conferencing and other – being used primarily in companies with the goal of making more effective communication of their employees. There are several proprietary solutions that implement a unified communications environment, such as Adobe ConnectNow from Adobe, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Exchange Server and others. This paper aims at implementing a Unified Communications system using a proprietary Cisco solution. The ultimate goal is to reduce telephony costs and provision of maintenance services and integrate all existing forms of communication within the company. This new proposal will cause a paradigm shift in the manner in which the company and also will enable more investment in research and knowledge.
