Gabriel e o Monstro Cárius

Abstract

This children’s e-book presents the story “Gabriel and the Cárius Monster,” created to promote oral hygiene habits among children, especially those with visual impairment. Through a playful, imaginative, and inclusive narrative, the story addresses, in an accessible way, topics such as the prevention of dental caries, the consequences of excessive sugar consumption, and the importance of proper cleaning of the teeth and mouth. The purpose of this edition is to encourage children to take an active role in their own self-care, fostering the development of healthy habits from an early age. This material is part of the “Oral Health in the Palm of Your Hand” series and was developed within the Incluir_Odonto Project, linked to the Professional Master’s Program in Dentistry at FO-UFRJ, in partnership with the Dentistry sector of the Instituto Benjamin Constant, reinforcing the commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and oral health promotion.
