Erosão superficial em taludes de corte em solo Residual de Gnaisse

Abstract

Study of superficial erosion of cut slopes. It is divided into two parts. The first part consists of a laboratory investigation where, by means of test results, the relative erodibility of various layers of gneissic residual soils was compared. Also in this part, an attempt was made to correlate the relative erodibility observed in the tests with other soil properties. The second part deals with field observations in various slopes and the measurement of erosion and rainfall in two trial cuts. The data obtained permitted the determination of an Erodibility Index (IE) relating soil loss to height of rainfall. In addition to the above mentioned parts, a bibliographic review on the subject is also presented.
