This doctoral thesis aims to develop a computational model in two dimensions to simulate and analyze electrical equipment with superconducting tapes with induced current and to apply it in simulations of a superconducting magnetic bearing with double crossed loops and simulations of a superconducting induction machine with a cage. The developed model is based on a formulation that computes the magnetic vector potential (A) and current vector potential (T), namely T-A formulation. This formulation is applied to the thin-film approximation for tapes, and electric circuits are used to compute the current distribution. This work proposes an electric potential average to couple the T-A formulation and the circuit. The computational model was validated by comparing superconducting magnetic bearing simulation results with measurements performed in previous works. The induction dynamic of the double-crossed loops was analyzed tape by tape in simulations of both levitation and lateral displacement cases. The application of the proposed model to an electric machine with superconducting tape bars was demonstrated with pulsed-field magnetization simulations and simulations with mesh movement. The effect of soldering in the cage is discussed. The induction machine was compared with the trapped-flux machine with spiral tapes, also simulated with the T-A formulation.
