Programas governamentais de autoconstrução no Brasil: um estudo comparativo

Abstract

This paper presents part of the results related to a research named "Public Housing P?Provision: Alternative Programmes" chich was made in different brazilian states.The mentioned research was concentrated on aided selfbuilding, nowdays one of the most important non-conventional housing policies in Brazil, which consists on users participation in the dwelling construction, managed bv the public sector. Based on a comparative analysis of the studied housing programmes we intend to contribute to the evaluation of government interventiom is this sector and also to facilitate the understanding of the real meaning of the participatorv strategies in social policies.
