Resumo

This work was based on one of the elements of the 4th industrial revolution: 3D printing. Besides, it is in agreement with the growth demand for greener solution to the conventional polymers: it was used bioblends of PHBV/PLA fabricated in this work as filament for the fused deposition molding (FDM). A complete 24 factorial design was performed to reduce the number of experiments with a statistical basement, reducing the time of research and the use of resources. It was evaluated the influence of the blend composition, the triacetin content as plasticizer, in addition to printing parameters: velocity and layer thickness on the flexural mechanical properties and on repeatability analyzed by relative dimensional accuracy. The results obtained by the factorial design were related to the first section of the work, which analyzed the secondary crystallinity and the compatibility degree between the polymers in the developed bioblends. It was seen that all the blends were immiscible. The bioblend 25/75 PHBV/PLA printed with the minimum levels proposed by the factorial design presented the greatest mechanical resistance and the greatest thermal stability, probably due to the good compatibility verified by FTIR and DSC analysis. This bioblend presented considerable potential to be used as feedstock for FDM.
