Desenvolvimento sustentável e transporte urbano de passageiros: o caso do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a critical mapping of existing sustainability strategies and actions for the analysis of transport and traffic problems and policies, contributing to systematize a knowledge base to support decision making in order to overcome the shortcomings of the procedures today available and used, especially as regards the lack of richer elements of analysis, which consider the social nature and environmental nature of transport and traffic phenomena.
