Biblio: um sistema de análise bibliométrica para prospecções tecnológicas

Abstract

The area called Future-Oriented Technology Analysis (FTA) comprises a set of methodologies and techniques with the aim of analyzing the future of technologies and their impacts, and, therefore, appears as one of the main tools to support decision-making and strategic planning for corporations, research institutions and governments. Among these methodologies we can find Bibliometric Analysis, through which it is possible to capture and analyze relevant information from scientific activity, which is translated into publications, journals, patents, among others. Bibliometric Analysis can offer a comprehensive view of the current and past scenario of a given field of study and, with this, point out trends in the area of interest, allowing to quantify and project futures from current scientific activity indicators, improving the execution of an FTA study in a more efficient and resource-optimized way. Therefore, this work aims to model, implement and evaluate a support system for bibliometric analysis activity in an FTA study, called Biblio. It can be used as a module of the TIAMAT framework to support FTA studies, characterized by the concept of workflow of FTA methods, executed in a distributed and integrated way.
