Um modelo simples para a representação do comportamento não-linear de estruturas de superfície

Abstract

In this work, the formulation of the large deflection behaviour of elastic-plastic shells is given and numerical solutions are obtained using the finite element method. A modification is used for von Mises’s approximate yield criterion for thin shells. This modification includes the strain hardening effects and makes the yield criterion more suitable for use in the collapse analysis of thin steel plates and shells under buckling loads. Ilustrative examples are included and the results are compared with the results of other formulations.
