Abstract

This work is part of the results of Rosani Godoy's master's thesis research entitled Formation processes of the Library of the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts (AIBA) - 1834 to 1857, from the Professional Master's Postgraduate Program in Library Science at the University Federal Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). The research aims to analyze the aspects historical accounts of the formation of a collection that holds within it the institutional memory of artistic education in Brazil.
