Análise do comportamento de um rejeito de minério de ferro no estado do regime permanente

Abstract

A series of drained and undrained triaxial standard testshave been carried out todetermine the steady state line (SSL) of an iron tailing. The resultsallowed determining thestateparameters of the specimens and evaluatingits influenceon the material behavior. To analyse the instability/liquefactionbehavior ofthis iron tailing when subjected to a monotonic undrainedload, the collapse line and the state parameter, and therelationship between the undrained brittlenessindex and the state parameter were determined. The results were extensivelycomparedtomany others materials presented inthe literature, including other Brazilian tailings.
