Automação de bibliotecas e unidades de informação: revendo critérios e características para o melhor investimento

Abstract

It presents a comparative study between the main integrated library management systems available in the Brazilian market. Its methodology was based on updating the functionalities described by C characteristics listed by the ISO/IEC 9126 standard and the determinations of the Normative Instruction on the contracting of Information and Communication Technological solutions from the Brazilian Federal Government. the approach is in the collection of information with users of the institutions and the motivation was the demand for renewal of the maintenance contract by the Library and Information System (SiBI) of the Federal Unive Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
