A política de remoção promovida pelas políticas habitacionais no município do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The study aims to make an analysis of housing politics and removals occurred in the city of Rio de Janeiro from the twentieth century to the present day. From a history of politics is possible to verify the expulsion of the poor areas of the nobles and their relocation in peripheral areas of the city to the precariousness of infrastructure and services. The current politics privileges the construction of housing in these areas in order to avoid the low-income population of the spaces that will host the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics, promoting various projects and expropriations.
