Diagnósticos de enfermagem na amamentação baseados na Cipe: estudo retrospectivo descritivo

Abstract

Objective: to identify the most frequent nursing diagnoses related to breastfeeding in postpartum women and newborns hospitalized in Rooming-in. Method: retrospective, descriptive documentary survey, carried out in medical records. Result: the most frequent diagnoses were Exclusive Preserved Breastfeeding and Nipple Complications. Discussion: The diagnoses represented the needs of the mother and child observed in their risk factors that determined the difficulties in managing breastfeeding. In order to carry out the nursing diagnosis process, nurses need to have critical thinking, skills to understand the clinical manifestations and to establish their relationship with the diagnosis itself. Conclusion: The CIPE can be considered as an essential tool in the systematization of nursing care in the milk bank, being a continuous process in the nurse's work, as it has characteristics of reflection and learning that permeate critical and theoretical thoughts that involve breastfeeding.
