Estudo comparativo de topologias em anel para mancal magnético axial passivo

Abstract

In this work, a comparative study of ring topologies for Passive Thrust Magnetic Bearings is presented. The topolgies are compared according to the bearing’s mechanical characteristics. Numerical models have been elaborated for finite element method computations. Based on the simulation results, a bearing topology is picked for implementation in an existing laboratory-scale magnetic levitating testbench for rotordynamic studies. Lastly, a detailed mechanical implementation design for the passive bearing is presented.
