Simulação simplificada da propagação da maré em sistemas complexos de embocaduras

Abstract

The analysis of a tide propagation along a complex estuary system consisting of channels, natural reservoirs and singularities such as meanders, islands, bifurcations, gradual and sudden transients was the subject of this study. The effect of each of these factors in the routing of the tide were analyzed in qualitative and quantitative form. In the system under study, characterized by small number of bifurcations, large reservoirs, presence of main types of hydraulic singularities and gradual transients, the steady state conditions were used and the storage routing approach used for the routing of the tide along the system. The results show the main influence of the reservoir in comparison to the other factors in the tide propagation.
