A formalização do informal: o transporte alternativo de kombis e vans na Ilha do Governador

Abstract

Monitor the process of transition from “informal – illegal” for its formalization public transportation system, from the edition, the municipal government, a measure of the modal reorganization, called STPL (Local Public Transportation System), solely for tax “vans” and “vans” circulating in Rio de Janeiro. It is intended, yet also assess their impact on mobility status of the city and the lives of its direct or indirect social actors and the representations considered to justify it, the amenities and services with it will be deleted and composing the scenario of the user population displacements of alternative transportation, as well as the conflicts engendered from its implementation. The research was empirical field region Governor's Island, where I conducted direct observation and interviews, and a survey and analysis of representations in the local news media.
