Telicidade e expressões adverbiais durativas no espanhol da Espanha: uma análise a partir do 'se' télico

Abstract

Telic sentences can be described as events with in inherent endpoint that is linguistically determined. One way to express telicity in Spanish is applying a telic se combined with a determined direct complement. We hypothesize that durative adverbial expressions are incompatible in telic sentences with or without the telic se in Spanish spoken in Spain. To do so, two linguistic tests were used in this regard: a semi-spontaneous production test and a commented grammaticality judgment test. The results show that the production of durative adverbial expressions in telic sentences in Spanish is possible, even in sentences with the telic se. Based on the results, we discuss that telicity and imperfectivity are compatible.
