Comportamento teórico-experimental de pórticos planos de concreto armado com pilares esbeltos

Abstract

This paper presents the results of buckling tests, involving ten reinforced concrete plane frames, performed in the Structural Laboratory of the Technology Center of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. From those ten models, eight were tested correcting the verticality of the load, using a device specially designed for that. The experimental results were compared with those given by the computer program PORT2, for non-linear analysis of reinforced concrete plane frames. ln view of the existing difficulties to represent theoretically the complex behaviour of a reinforced concrete structure, it can be said that the performed theoretical analyses simulated satisfactorily the real behaviour of the tested models.
