Acesso às informações acadêmico-administrativas: a avaliação do Manual do Estudante de Economia da UFRJ

Abstract

This study focuses on the evaluation of the Economics Student Handbook with the purpose of investigating the academic-administrative information provided to the student body of the undergraduate course in Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The Manual is considered an important academic management tool that contributes to making information available in a useful and transparent way. The methodological procedures adherent to the evaluation area are adopted, with the adoption of a consumer-centered approach. The evaluation categories selected for judging the Manual are: content, access, aesthetics and organization, and target audience. The evaluative instruments contemplate quantitative and qualitative research techniques, namely: questionnaire and discussion group. The results show a positive assessment of the Manual, especially regarding its content, access, and target audience. The aesthetics and organization of the document were considered a critical point. It was recommended that some changes be made in the document to make it more dynamic and attractive to the student body.
