Experiências & aprendizados: apoio ao desenvolvimento das Contas Econômicas Ambientais

Abstract

This document is one of the experience systematization reports, or white papers, produced for the four thematic areas supported by the TEEB Regional-Local Project. It examines the project's contribution to promoting the topic of EAA in Brazil. Contextualization of the theme is presented, through a brief history of EAA in the world and Brazil, and identification of the specific themes dealt with (1) Support for the Development of Environmental-Economic Accounts for Water (EAA-A); (2) Support for the Development of Environmental-Economic Accounts for Forests (EAA-F); (3) Support for the Development of Environmental-Economic Accounts for Energy (EAA-E); (4) Promotion of the use of EAA in the formulation, implementation, and monitoring of public policies; and (5) Communication of Environmental Economic Accounts.
