Aplicação do método magnetotelúrico em Bacias Subandinas na Bolívia e no Peru

Abstract

ln this work the application of the magnetotelluric method will be presented in the context of the structural characterization of Sub-Andean basins. At first part the Madre de Dios Basin situated in Bolivia and Peru is studied over all its geological aspects. At the second part a description of the magnetotelluric method fundamentais is presented. At the third part it will be presented a case study based on a previous work, about the application of the magnetotelluric method on the Thrust Belt Basin of Southem Bolivia, as well as a short geological description of this basin. A similar application on Madre de Dios basin will be suggested.
