Abstract

The paper scrutinizes the strategy execution topic from the perspective of organizational change. The reviewed literature on execution is organized into nine different categories depending on the nature of the study (descriptive, explanatory or predictive, and its theoretical positioning (theory building, theory testing or empirical). In addition, the paper explores strategy execution as a process of change, and discusses implications for theory and practice.
