Abstract

The work presents the evolution of the Master Plan and the applicability of zoning, important instruments in the process of urbanization of the city, in view of the function of the Master Plan as an instrument for the management of the urban policy of the city, and zoning as an instrument of use control and occupation of the soil. It will present a historical overview of the formation of the district of Flamengo, the denomination of its streets and the Flamengo Park, some of the main green areas and leisure of the city.
