Favelas cariocas: um caso de conflitos e segregações

Abstract

In the course of contemporary history, the favela space has been changing and restructuring its role in the scope of economic and social dynamics encouraging the growth of the occupation of previously uninhabited and / or peripheral areas. In the city of Rio de Janeiro, its formation takes place from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, with socioeconomic works and changes, with migration as its main growth factor. This work focuses on the dynamics present in the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, having as bridges for such research the work, collective equipment and the housing / population issue.
