Resumo
Obstetric violence can occur during labor and delivery, in a silent and routine, resulting in suffering for the woman. hildbirth should be an event physiological and unique, it is at this moment that the highest rate of oxytocin release occurs, the
love hormone, a biomarker responsible for attachment and bond development between mother and newborn. Objective: to identify the repercussions of obstetric violence on promotion of the mother-infant bond. Methodology: this is an integrative review, with the in order to gather and synthesize the results of the studies that served as a corpus for this research. A search for primary articles was carried out through the Virtual Health Library and cross-referencing of the descriptors <Obstetric violence=, <Bond=, <Newborn= combined with the Boolean operator AND. The selection criteria used were the publications of the last 5 years and studies available in full, in Portuguese. Outcome and discussion: Violence Obstetric disorders cause various types of damage, including physical and psychological, in addition to damaging the bond mother-baby, in these cases, the newborn also loses the opportunity to arrive in an environment surrounded by love and warmth. Conclusion: The humanization model of labor and birth It has the potential to inhibit obstetric violence by encouraging good care practices.
