Aplicações do método gravimétrico na exploração de petróleo: análise de estudo de caso aplicado à Bacia do Recôncavo

Abstract

Recôncavo basin is an important Brazilian sedimentary basin. It was and has been object of interest for applications in geophysical methods and techniques which the principal objective is to maximizing the knowledge about its geological structures. This work show in general fine the geological context of the basin and the acquisition, treatment and interpretation techniques of geological data using gravimetric method. Specifically, part of a technical work was analyzed. ln that work the method of Euler deconvolution was utilized for estimating the spatial distribution and depths of gravimetric anomalous of Recôncavo basin northeastern portion. The results were compared with local data where are positioned the wells and seismic maps. The conclusions showed that gravimetric methods and interpretation technique applied had a good results and agreement with geological model of region. The methodology was able to predict news geological structures too. Other case study about gradiometry was presented. The work was realized with gravimetric data of Recôncavo basin central part. The techniques apply the tensor of gravitational field and amplified the information obtained with Bouguer gravimetric anomalous maps.
