Do entrudo ao sambódromo: a apropriação de um espaço

Abstract

The last great intervention / interference of the public power that suffered the Carioca Carnival was the construction of an appropriate space for the parade. From this observation the research for the present monograph is developed, where we intend to demonstrate the interference of the Public Power in this popular manifestation called Carnival. These interferences occurred in a varied way, either through the change of date for the festival, or through the allocation of spaces for the typical games that culminated in the construction of the Sambódromo in 1984.
