Significado do plano de parto: perspectivas da equipe de saúde

Abstract

To describe the perception of the health professionals involved in the care of the pregnant woman about the Birth Plan. Qualitative exploratory-descriptive research. Were interviewed twenty-four professionals from an ambulatory specialized in prenatal care at a Federal Maternity Hospital in the city of Rio de Janeiro, RJ, between December 2018 and January 2019. Thematic Categorical Content Analysis was used. Four categories emerged: Team perspectives; The planned and the unexpected; Training - the scenario and it’s confrontations; Stimulus to confection of the birth plan. For most professionals, the birth plan is a positive and complementary tool in the process of gestating and giving birth. The study provided the deepening of the content, promoting reflections of the practices in transformation among the professionals inserted in the Prenatal Care.
