Quick-Shell: um sistema de regras de produção fortemente acoplado a banco de dados

Abstract

Expert Systems Shells and Databases employ technologies with quite a few points in common. Their main intersection is that both .gtore and manipulate kno,vledge, either as facts or rules production. This article presents the architecture of an expert systems shell tightly-coupled with Entity-Relationship databases. Rule evaluation and the reasoning process are implemented under a object-oriented environment, which makes the method comprehensive and quite efficient. Free and existential variables are allowed for building rules and terms refering databases elements are directly mapped to E-R database primitives.
