Desenvolvimento emocional primitivo: teoria de Winnicott

Abstract

D. Winnicott's theory revolutionized the history of psychoanalysis by inaugurating a theoretical field that highlights the importance of the 'enabling environment' for the maturation of the human being. His theory, as no other hitherto in the history of psychoanalysis, has focused on early life studies and how the mother-baby dyad relationship is essential for healthy emotional development in the early years. Although extremely innovative, the importance of Winnicott's theory may go unnoticed by the unsuspecting reader, since his works have a simple language and the scientific differential is subtly "between the lines." This Narrative Literature Review aims to facilitate the understanding of the main concepts of Winnicott's theory. Because of its scientific relevance, it is of paramount importance that its contributions reach not only professionals in psychology/ psychoanalysis /psychiatry, but also practitioners in different areas, who act directly and daily with the mother-baby dyad.
