Distrito industrial: um estudo de caso, o município do Cabo

Abstract

The present theme has as its object the study of the social studies of the urban reality of the municipality of Cabo (PE), from the process of implantation of the Industrial District in 1960. We tried to incorporate and to correlate elements of the socioeconomic studies of the urban agglomerates of the Cape's headquarters and the District of Ponte dos Carvalhos and its evolutions.These two studies are interdependent to the point that it would not be justified to develop them in isolation. In this way, we try to reach an understanding of the interpretation of the most diverse historical, social, political and economic factors in the formation of the urban fabric of the agglomerates delimited in this study.
