Abstract

The paper seeks to synthesize the concept of urban legalization of irregular land subdivisions, including land regularization in the context of the city of Nova Iguaçu, presenting experiences and actions of the current government in an attempt to recover the citizenship of the low income population, guaranteeing them better quality of life. Due to the identification of numerous irregular occupations in the territory of the city, it becomes necessary to implement a public policy that faces the problem.
