Abstract

The work aims to deal with the increasing invasions of factories and industries that are located along Avenida Brasil in Rio de Janeiro, permeating the neighborhoods of Bonsucesso, Olaria, Ramos and other areas of Leopoldina. The analysis seeks to raise a series of questions about these invasions, which may provide a better understanding of the many causes that have favored the occupation of these spaces. The work intends to demonstrate a new modality of invasion in the urban space, that is, to show the reutilization of a space, that even already defined as industry, is recreated like dwelling, going from a place of production to a place of dwelling.
