Rios urbanos e construção da paisagem: tradução jurídica e urbanística

Abstract

Urban rivers, as cultural landscapes, materialize along their course the disregard for environmental legislation that regulates the use of their beds and banks, considering environmental protection areas. This reality constitutes the theme of this work, which discusses conflicts of urban uses and occupation in environmental protection areas and their impact on the built landscape. The work emphasizes the social ineffectiveness of the norm in the management of water resources as an obstacle to be overcome in the urban design process. Finally, we highlight the interdisciplinary nature of the research that originates this study, involving researchers from the areas of law, landscape architecture, urban design and urbanism, focused on the study of the interrelationships between environmental legislation and the cultural construction of the urban landscape.
