"Programa Morar Feliz por um Real": o papel do Estado na produção da periferia: reflexões sobre a segregação residencial - Conjunto Habitacional Nova Sepetiba, Cidade do Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

The theme of this work is the housing policy of the state of Rio de Janeiro, analyzed from the "Live for a Real Live Program". We search for the case study of the Nova Sepetiba housing complex, in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The temporal cut is recent and will focus on the residential segregation produced by the state as a real estate developer at the turn of the 21st century, specifically in 2001. The spatial cut is the Nova Sepetiba Housing Set. Built to house homeless workers and residents from so-called risk areas, it is the program's first real estate investment.
