Solução numérica via métodos variacionais de problemas em termoelasticidade dinâmica acoplada

Abstract

ln this work, a variational formulation of the initial and boundary value problem, corresponding to the linear theory of coupled dynamic thermoelasticity in homogeneous isotropic heatconducting materials, is presented. To obtain approximate solutions, a numerical algorithm was developed and implemented using the Finite Elements Method. Finally, some numerical results are presented to show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.
