É possível ter o planejamento como prática laborativa e militante?

Abstract

The present paper brings together counter-hegemonic theories of urban planning, describes experiences and ends with a practice’s analysis. Planning is recognized by certain social movements as a hegemonic practice, which aims to ensure the capital’s accumulation and legitimize the social order. Nowadays some groups are resignifying the planning action by putting themselves at the forefront of decisions about their territories, pleading actions against hegemonic interests, in a process that do not intend to eliminate the conflict but make it explicit in the political game, practice that is been called “Conflictual Planning”. In this context, the classical planner assumes the position of technically assisting social movements, about which we question: is it possible to have planning as a working and militant practice?
