Magnetometria na prospecção de petróleo Bacia Madre de Deus

Abstract

In this monography we present the geology of the Madre de Deus basin, together with the geophysical method called Magnetometry. We will present a theoretical study about a form of treatment and interpretation of the magnetic data, called Method of the Magnetic Inversion 2D. To get steady and coherent solutions from the mathematical models we will introduce the concept of constraints in the problem of the potential field inversion. The articles presents results obtained from synthetic and real data, showing the efficiency and limitations of the considered method.
