A concepção estética da moradia nos projetos de arquitetura em dois períodos distintos: na indústria moderna e na tecnologia digital

Abstract

Architecture has always reflected technological advancements and the sociocultural values of each era throughout history. The way spaces are designed and built is directly related to the available tools for their conception, representation methods, the materials used, and the construction techniques adopted. Thus, the aesthetics of buildings evolve as new technologies are incorporated into the architectural process. This study aims to analyze the aesthetic conception of housing in two distinct periods: modernist architecture, strongly influenced by industrial development, and contemporary architecture, characterized by the incorporation of computing and digital fabrication. To this end, emblematic residential projects from each period were selected, recognized for their technical and aesthetic value, allowing comparisons to be made and the influence of technologies on the shaping of residential architecture to be identified. In this way, the aim is to understand how technological innovations influence not only aesthetics, but also the functionality and experience of living spaces.
