A construção de empreendimentos hidrelétricos no rio Tocantis: a experiência das usinas hidrelétricas (UHE) São Salvador e Luiz Eduardo Magalhães

Abstract

The process of building hydroelectric power plants in Brazil enables studies and analyzes under different proposals. In this article, we sought to address the impacts caused to those affected and the way they faced and are facing the consequences of the construction of hydroelectric projects in the State of Tocantins, especially the reality of the São Salvador Hydroelectric Power Plant. Another interesting aspect of the text, of fundamental importance, is the author 's experience, allowing the report to be made from the logic of those who lived and participated directly, describing how their struggles were traced, their insertion in the Movement of Dam - MAB and what are the advances and perspectives from this experience.
