As cidades médias de Minas Gerais: dinâmica e distribuição regional

Abstract

Medium-sized cities were much studied during the 1970s, giving rise to several publications on the subject. After this phase of interest, this category of city fell somewhat in academic ostracism, returning recently to be object of a renewed focus. This article recovers some of this trajectory, updating the discussion of the theme, with a special attention in the dynamics and the spatial distribution of the medium cities of Minas Gerais.
